Geneva HS Class of 2005
One of most prolific student athletes to grace the campus of Geneva High School, the 14-time varsity letter winner stared in Golf, Hockey and Lacrosse. The 2004-2005 Geneva Athletic Booster Club Male Athlete of the Year, captained all three sports his senior year. Named team MVP during his senior year in all three sports, Mike was also a four-time MVP in the sport of Golf. Decorated in all three sports, Mike was named to the Section V Senior All Star Game and 1st team all American honors in both Hockey and Lacrosse his senior year. In the sport of Golf, leading into his senior year, Mike won the Geneva Country Club Men’s Championship and ended his season being named Daily Messenger Player of the Year with 1st team honors.
Academically, Mike was named a NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete each of four years. Named Geneva High School Athlete of the Month and recognized as 2005 Michael F. D'Amico recipient, Michael continued his lacrosse career at Penn State University where he graduated with a degree in Business Management. The youngest of Kathleen and Robert Toner's four children, Bob, Ryan and Jackie (GSHOF 2009), Mike calls Chicago his home with his wife Katie.
