A 1977 graduate of DeSales, Bill was a two-sport star who was named the Most Outstanding Athlete his senior year. A three-year letter winner in basketball, Bill averaged 15 ppg as a sophomore, 16 ppg as a junior when he was named 2nd team all-league and Honorable Mention All-Greater Rochester. Bill had a great senior year averaging 26 points and 10 rebounds per game. He was 1st team all-league and the league MVP. He helped the Saints reach the sectional finals where they lost a one point heartbreaker to Kendall. Bill was named to the Section V All-Tournament team that year. Bill capped off his successful basketball career by being named to the All-Greater Rochester team.

Bill also excelled in football being named 1st team all-league his junior and senior year as a wide receiver and 1st team all-league his senior year at defensive end. Bill went on to college at Alfred Tech where he averaged 13 points per game.
