Guy Spader's career at Geneva High School included successful years both as a player and as a coach. As a player, Guy was a 3 year starter on the basketball team. He was a 1st team Finger Lakes East All-Conference player his junior and senior year. And he was a unanimous selection in his senior year. In addition, he was named the team most valuable player his junior and senior year. He was also named to the 2nd team Greater Rochester All-Star team his junior and senior years. The teams he played for at GHS won 2 Finger Lakes East titles and had a combined record of 46-11. Guy also played basketball in college and received his Masters Degree from SUNY Brockport. He was also an All-Conference player in baseball.

As a coach, Guy coached the Geneva High School Varsity baseball team for 20 years and had a career record of 282-114, most victories in school history (only 22 more than his father Guy W. Spader Sr). His teams won 6 Finger Lakes East titles, he was awarded Finger Lakes East Coach of the Year 6 times and won the Section V Class B title in 1994. His 1994 team was undefeated and ranked #5 in the final NYS baseball poll. Additionally, Guy served as the Finger Lakes East Baseball Chairman for 13 years, was a member of the Section V Baseball Executive Committee for 11 years and was the Section V Baseball Chairman for 3 years. He also coached the Geneva Legion baseball team in 1995. Over his years as baseball coach at Geneva, he had 4 players drafted in the Major League Baseball Draft and had many other players go on to play successfully in college baseball. Guy also coached the Geneva JV Basketball team for 16 years and had a career record of 212 - 81, his teams finished 1st in the Finger Lakes East 5 times. While at GHS, he also coached varsity Boys Volleyball team, Girls JV Basketball team, and the Golf team where his record was 22-2 with 1 Conference title and 1 Coach of the Year honor.

Together with his father, they have coached Geneva High School baseball for a total of 42 years with a combined record of 542-218, 18 Finger Lakes titles and 3 Section V Championships. Guy is also following his father into the Geneva Sports Hall of Fame (Class of 1995). Currently, Guy lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife Susan, and is an Athletic Director and Physical Education teacher in the North Carolina school system.
