Inducted Class of 2007
A four-year starter on the varsity baseball team, John was chosen the Finger Lakes East Player of the Year in both his junior and senior years. He batted .481 his junior year and helped lead the Panthers to a 22-0 season which saw them capture both the league and sectional crowns. John batted .380 his senior year and had a 6-1 record as a pitcher. He served as team captain that year and once again helped lead his team to a league championship. John was a three-year varsity letter winner in basketball and a two-time team MVP. He averaged 17 ppg his junior year and was named a 2nd team league all-star. He averaged 16 ppg as a senior and was named a first team league all-star, the Section V Class B All-Tournament team and was selected to play in the Ronald McDonald All-Star game.
John went on to play Division I baseball at the University of Hartford where he was a four-year letter winner. He was a member of the American East Conference Academic Honor Roll. His senior year he batted .317 and served as team captain. He graduated from Hartford with a degree in Science and Physical Therapy.
John who was very proud to have been inducted into the Hall of Fame passed away in February of 2013 at the age of 36.
