A 1985 graduate of DeSales High, Mike lettered in football, basketball, and baseball. Mike was a four-year letterwinner in baseball and was a a two-time 1st-team all-league selection. Mike threw two no-hitters and was awarded the Daniel Murphy Memorial Pitching award twice. He averaged 1.5 strikeouts per inning pitched his senior year and batted .497 with 24 RBI . He was also a member of the 1984 Section V Championship team. Mike played quarterback and defensive back on the football team and was 1st team league as a defensive back. He also lettered in basketball.

Mike went on to Hobart College where he was a four-year letterwinner on the baseball team. He was ranked in the top ten in Div. 3 in ERA his junior year. Mike was Honorable Mention All-ECAC his junior and senior years. After graduating in 1989 Mike went on to teach at Romulus CS. Mike has coached varsity football at both Romulus and DeSales and has coached varsity baseball at Romulus.

He joined the Geneva High varsity football staff in 2003 as the defensive coordinator. During his time as assistant coach at GHS the Panthers won three sectional championships, appeared in two state final games and won the state championship in 2006. Mike took over as head coach in 2010 and has guided the Panthers to four league titles and a sectional championship.
