Geneva High School Class of 1999
Bill has made his mark in golf both as a player and as a coach. He was a five-year letter winner in golf. Bill was a two-time Finger Lakes East Golfer of the Year while earning first-team status four times. Bill was a first-team all-star outfielder in baseball and was the Deledonne Award winner his senior year. He also played on the 1999 sectional championship basketball team.
Bill attended St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ on an athletic scholarship to play Division 1 golf. At St. Peter’s he was named to the MAAC All-Academic team three times and served as a three-time captain for the Peacocks. While at St. Peter’s his highlights included winning the Montclair State Invitational. He was a top fifteen finisher in the MAAC Championships. Bill has continued to compete in golf after college winning the Geneva City Championship and won the Geneva Country Club Championship four times. He has played in events in the U.S. Pro Golf Tour and the Carolina Professional Golf Tour.
As coach of the Geneva High golf team, the Panthers have won the Finger Lakes East league title eleven times. He has been named the league Coach of the Year eleven times and his teams have posted a 177-20-2 record. Bill teaches at Geneva Middle School. Bill’s dad Mike was inducted into the Geneva Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
