Mike made his mark on the baseball diamond where he went 15-4 with a 0.90 earned-run average in three varsity seasons. He won six of seven decisions and allowed only one earned run as a senior. Mike batted .302 for his career, including .362 in his farewell campaign. The Panthers won league titles all three years that he played. Mike also lettered in football, basketball, and gold. As a freshman, Mike qualified for the sectional golf tournament. At Brockport State Mike was a two-year starter on the baseball team. He batted over .300 and had an astronomical slugging percentage of over .900. He once hit safely in 21 straight games. Mike helped lead Brockport to the 1974 SUNY Championship and was named to the SUNY All-Conference team in 1973 and 1974. He batted over .300 for the Kitchener, Ontario semi-pro team playing in a league that only allowed one American per team. Mike also played basketball and golf at FLCC.

Mike has been very community minded serving for six years on the Geneva Board of Education. He also coached Geneva Little League and served as an assistant varsity baseball coach at Geneva High.
