Inducted Inaugural Class of 1990
Jody was an outstanding four sport athlete at DeSales but she was best known for her record-setting performance in basketball. She led her team to two league championships and the 1978 Section V Class D title her senior year. Jody was named 1st-team all-league three years in a row. She still holds the Section 5 tournament single-game scoring record with 51 points and is the all-time career scoring leader at DeSales with 1,423 points. Jody also qualified for the state track meet in her senior year. Jody was inducted into the Section V Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000 and the DeSales Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame in 2008.
Jody was an outstanding basketball player at the U of R where she was named Division III Player of the Year in 1982 while establishing five NCAA records. She scored more than 2000 points and set 14 University of Rochester records. She was an All American and an Academic All-American. In 1982 she was honored as the “Rochester Woman of the Year” by the Rochester Press-Radio Club. She was inducted into the U of R Hall of Fame in 1992. Jody graduated cum laude from the U of R in 1982. Jody has coached on the high school and collegiate level for the past twenty years.
