As a power midfielder for the Panthers, Craig won lacrosse letters for three years. As a senior Lahr was All-Conference, All-State, team MVP, team captain as well as winning the Iron man Award. Craig played three years for varsity football and served as team captain his senior year as well as being named 2nd team All-Section V. His high point of his senior year came against Mt. Carmel of Auburn when he compiled 345 yards, three touchdowns and a punt return of 100 yards.
After graduating from Geneva in 1968 Craig went into the navy where he served for four years. Craig went on to North Country Community College where he played lacrosse. He played on two National Championship teams at North Country. He was an All-American selection, team MVP as well as serving as team captain for two years. After college he played for four years for the Richmond, Va. Lacrosse Club and then founded and played for the Chesterfield Lacrosse Club. He has served since 1988 as a top collegiate and scholastic lacrosse official.
