James Dannahe

James “Perce” Dannahe
Baseball Inducted Class of 1993

Perce was a 1924 graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School, and excelled in baseball, basketball, and football. Perce played football at DeSales which had outstanding football teams at that time.

Perce also played forward on the Geneva Eagles basketball team which entertained the finest professional teams at the time including the New York Celtics, now the New York Knicks, and the New York Renaissance, the forerunner of the Harlem Globetrotters. Perce also played on his Army basketball team. Perce played semi-pro baseball for several years throughout the area. He played for the Geneva team in the Empire State league and was noted as one of the best outfielders in the area.
