Mark Bloom
Wrestling
Geneva HS Class of 2005
As a 2005 graduate of Geneva High School, Mark was a three-star athlete in wrestling, football, and lacrosse. While a faceoff specialist for the lacrosse program and a captain linebacker on the football field, it was on the wrestling mat where Mark Bloom became a dominant force. His two team MVP awards were well earned as Mark registered more wins than any wrestler in school history. He is a 3 time Class BBB champion and a two time section five champion. Mark went on to compete against the best in the state and placed 2nd and 3rd in the New York State tournament.
Following high school, Mark wrestled for Brown University. He overcame injury in his freshman year and went on to compete as a three-year starter for the Ivy League squad, registering his first win in his Sophomore season at the Keystone Classic.
