A hard working point guard, Julia's dedication to the game was rewarded as she was named a second team All-State and a second team All-Greater Rochester selection her senior year She was also a Finger Lakes Times Five Fab selection and the recipient of the Coaches Award in the Ronald McDonald All-Star game that year. She helped lead the Saints to the Section V Class D title as a sophomore and was named MVP of the tournament. Julia was named 1st team all-league twice and team MVP three times averaging 14 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.9 steals per game. Julia finished as the third leading scorer in DeSales history, scoring 1,221 points.
Julia went on to the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford where she was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Newcomer of the Year as well as team MVP her first year. She averaged 12.1 points and 2.13 steals while being named 2nd team all-conference. In her sophomore year she was named AMCC 1st team all-conference while averaging 12.1 points, 3.4 assists and 2.3 steals per game. Julia had to retire from playing due to an injury suffered that year. She transferred to Brockport where she graduated in 2006. She served as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Brockport from 2006 to 2008.
